No obligation to reside in Portugal
Minimum stay in Portugal is 7 days, consecutive or non-consecutive, in the first year and 14 days, consecutive or non-consecutive, in the subsequent two-year periods.

Since October 2023 real estate acquisition is no longer available as a basis for Golden Visa applications.
The legal requirement is investment in the amount of € 500.000 (five hundred thousand euros) in an investment fund eligible for golden visa. All investment funds are regulated and supervised by Portuguese authorities and offer competitive yields on investment.

Donate €250,000 to national cultural heritage projects. All available projects are approved by the Portuguese department of culture.
